Today, I bring you something a little more interesting by Nicolas Petrou, founder and creative director of PETROU\MAN. PETROU\MAN is a collection of high end menswear accentuated with visually stunning graphics. The line for the 2010 spring/summer collection revolves around a certain everyday performance with aesthetics inspired by a Sirichai illustration created by Geoffrey Beene in 2001. A central theme includes a series of contrasting panels throughout in addition to the use of well-tailored cuts to ensure the optimal fits and mobility associated with sportswear. Nicolas himself is a graduate of the prestiguous St. Martin’s School in London with a lot of experience designing for various companies in NYC and with his work featured in various publications including WWD, Vogue, Elle, Bazaar, Numero, W and The New York Times. Take a look at the spring 2010 collection and for a better understanding, check the interview between Nicolas Petrou and Dazed Digital.
