Abakus Takeout is one of the premier sneaker/streetwear stops in Philadelphia. For 3 years, Abakus have been based out of the Chinatown neighborhood and hold a similarity of concept design with DQM & Bodega. Fronted as a mock Chinese takeout restaurant, they are one of the final 2 streetwear stores based out of Philadelphia (the other being UBIQ). They have had collaborations with Philadelphia based sportswear nostalgia company, Mitchell & Ness, wood-inspired jewelry company, Good Wood NYC, leading streetwear brand company, Crooks & Castles. They are also in the midst of working with The Hundreds, The Philadelphia Eagles, & Far East Movement.
This Black Friday (11/26/2010) they are releasing our first complete season of t-shirts, crewnecks, and hooded sweatshirts. The US Military inspired designs represent the different renown branches of the US Armed Forces (Navy, US Marine Corps, US Army). Take a look at the lookbook for the season and will soon release a video shoot as well.
