PIFA 2011: How Philly Moves Featuring JJ Tiziou

PIFA is quickly approaching and if you haven’t created your roadmap to all the events during the month, now is the time to do so.  One of the events that I am looking forward to is the launch of the digital projection mural collaboratively commissioned by PIFA and the internationally renowed Mural Arts Program.  The two will create a living work of art that will grace the façade of the Kimmel Center.  Philadelphia is known for its Murals and they give the city its character and tell its stories. It’s always amazing when you find a new path in the city and come across a mural that you have never encountered. This new original mural created exclusively for PIFA c0ntnue to tell these stories and is something you don’t want to miss.  The mural will feature the work of JJ Tiziou who is known for his innovative work in photography and mural art.  He has promised a spectacular living work of art that will featuring live action photography and cutting edge digital technology.

The digital projection mural will be featured on the façade of the Kimmel Center for the duration of the festival and will feature photos and videos of dancing Philadelphians from JJ Tiziou’s How Philly Moves project.  The Kimmel Center’s mural is a sister to the Mural Arts Program’s 50,000 square foot painted mural composed of JJ’s iconic photos, coming to Philadelphia International Airport in June 2011.

Make sure you are there for the launch of this Mural on  April 07, 2011 at 7 PM at the Kimmel Center!
