A-Trak
When I was 13 I took my bar mitzvah money and bought myself some turntables and a mixer. I practiced for about 18 hours a day. Then I came out of my basement, packed my lunch and won a bunch of world championships. Joy! I formed a DJ crew called the Allies with Craze and friends. We toured the world for a while… I guess I’ve been touring for the last 12 years. Time flies.

In the late 90’s my brother and I ran an indie hip hop label called Audio Research. Most of you now know my brother as the mustachioed half of Chromeo. But I digress. In 2004 Kanye West hired me as his official tour DJ and I’ve worked closely with him ever since, both on stage and off. Then 2 years ago Nick Catchdubs and I founded a new record label: Fool’s Gold, dedicated to bringing you the crème de la crop in club music. I also produced a bunch of tracks for Kid Sister and did a string of remixes for various gentlefolk. Expect some more A-Trak releases this year and I foresee an album in ze pipeline. Now let’s boogie woogie.

Kid Sister

Kid Sister is a tongue-in-cheek throwback to the first golden age of hip-hop, when it seemed like anyone, even your kid sister, could have a hit

Born Melissa Young in 1980 and raised in the Chicago suburb of Markham, IL, Kid Sister grew up interested in musical theater, but did not pursue a career in music until after she graduated from college. Encouraged by the burgeoning career of her younger brother Josh Young, also known as J2K of the Chicago DJ duo Flosstradamus, Young adopted the name and persona of Kid Sister in early 2006; with J2K as her DJ and producer, Kid Sister debuted with the giddy single “Pro Nails,” which became popular enough as a digital download that Kanye West included a remix with his own guest verse on his summer 2007 mixtape Can’t Tell Me Nothing. That connection happened when Young began dating West’s DJ, A-Trak (Alain Macklovitch), who also signed Kid Sister to his label, Fools Gold Records. Following a second single, “Control,” and an appearance on the MTV reality show My Block, Kid Sister released her debut album, Ultraviolet, in late 2009. Downtown Records

The Gaslamp Killer

The Gaslamp Killer (born William Benjamin Bensussen) is a Los Angeles-based DJ who releases material through Brainfeeder, the record label of Flying Lotus.[1] Bensussen grew up in San Diego, California, where he began listening to Too Short, Jimi Hendrix, and Dr. Dre. After being influenced by DJ Shadow, he became a DJ in San Diego’s Gaslamp district when he was 17. After moving to Los Angeles in 2006, he helped found Low End Theory, “L.A.’s monolithic weekly showcase for uncut beat-driven tracks”.[2] Bensussen has played at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival,[1] the Austin Psych Fest,[3] and the Decibel Festival.[4]
