We take a look at the latest from Minnesota’s Red Wing for Summer 2011. The heritage footwear brand is known for releasing great footwear that is ideal for work wear. Here we see a new collection entitled “Wabasha” after the Minnesotan town. Wabasha is a town in Minnesota that is 30 miles from Redwing.
The Wabasha collection seen here features an assortment of deck shoes and chukkas. The collection is a tribute to those who transported the company’s earliest goods on the Missippie River. Employment of the Mississippi rivers was essential for Red Wing’s service of upper Midwest merchants. These early tranporters needed skill to navigate the rough waterways and this is their reward.
I am a big fan of the boat shoe seen in the gallery below. This would be a great addition to anyone looking to add to their boat shoe collection this summer.
