Just in time for Labor Day and the end of summer, The Cool Kids have just released their new video for “Summer Jam (Feat. Maxine Ashley).” Green Label Sound today releases the music video for “Summer Jam (Featuring Maxine Ashley)” by The Cool Kids. The video, shot by their pals BB Gun, responsible for previous video ‘Bundle Up’, shows Chuck Inglish, Mikey Rocks and Maxine Ashley in an imagined pool party replete with synchronized swimming and man-sized dancing fish.

BBGUN is the directing duo of Maxim Bohichik & Alex Bergman. The two have been directing together since 2008 when they collaborated on their first video for Kid Cudi’s “Day ‘N’ Nite.” Since then they have worked with many notable artists including The Roots, Enrique Iglesias, Busta Rhymes, Mike Posner, Neon Trees, J. Cole and more. The Cool Kids and BBGun’s mutual respect comes from both parties’ willingness to try anything.
Back in August of 2008, Mountain Dew launched their record label, Green Label Sound, by releasing an exclusive single, “Delivery Man” by The Cool Kids. Two and a half years later, Green Label Sound deepened the relationship by releasing the Cool Kids’ first full-length album, When Fish Ride Bicycles. The album was the first full-length release for Green Label Sound via iTunes with all of the profits going directly to The Cool Kids. Charting at #75 on the Billboard Top 200 Charts and capturing the #9 position on the Hip Hop/R+B charts, the band also took #16 on both the digital and independent charts at release week.
Green Label Sound, Mountain Dew’s exclusive singles label, is a record label designed to elevate and empower independent artists. To date, Green Label Sound has released singles by Wavves, Neon Indian, Matt and Kim, Holy Ghost!, Chromeo, The Cool Kids, Solid Gold, U-N-I, Flosstradamus and Caroline Polachek, Solid Gold, Theophilus London and Kuroma.
