You are invited to attend The 6th Annual Philly Youth Poetry Movement: Youth Poetry Slam Finals!

The top 10 youth poets from the Philadelphia-area will compete for six spots on the 2012 PYPM Youth Slam Team that will represent Philadelphia at the Brave New Voices International Youth Poetry Festival this summer in California.

PYPM will be returning to Brave New Voices as the reigning World Champions last year – and this year the talent is just as amazing.

Experience the power of the creative youth voices of Philadelphia, and hear their inspiring stories as these youth poets go all out for a chance to make the 2012 PYPM Youth Slam Team.

The Philly Youth Poetry Movement (PYPM) is a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides a safe space for Philadelphia teens to discover the power of their voices through spoken word and literary expression. PYPM offers literary arts education programming for youth ages 13-19 that promotes creative expression, critical literacy, life skills, and civic engagement.
