Kariem Riggins is one of those Hip Hop pioneers known by aficionados of the genre. The Detroit based producer has worked with luminaries in the genre ranging from The Roots, Erykah Badu, J. Dilla, Common, Slum Village, Madlib, Dwele, and many others. The producer also moonlights as a world renowned drummer playing with the likes of Hank Jones, Oscar Peterson, Milt Jackson, Donald Byrd, and Paul McCartney. The producer is releasing an album entitled Alone Together and Stones Throw records took the occasion to create a podcast celebrating his work.
