Offering yet another “Sunny Place for Shady People,” Acapulco Gold‘s lookbook for Fall/Winter 2012 displays both the brand’s expansion of its product offerings and development of its ethos. Again, the label’s headwear range is a standout, a collection of New Era fitteds, snapbacks and knit beanies emblazoned with a medley of prints and logos — digital fair isle, chip camo and Lo Bears among them. The tees take on a distinctively Japanese flavor for the season, with koi fish and geisha printed shirts added to the mix of Acapulco Gold’s signature graphics. It’s this season’s cut and sew line, however, that perhaps best displays its willingness to evolve and mature as a brand – the Scorpion ‘G’ Baseball Jacket, for instance, is crafted from Canadian Melton Wool and made in the USA, a nod to the company’s commitment to quality. Camouflage corduroy work pants, flannel shirts and street basics like hoodies and crewneck sweaters round out the collection. Look for Acapulco Gold’s Fall/Winter 2012 items now at their online store.
