Converse has a long history rooted in the USA, and the latest offering from the brand taps into that ethos. Presented in a limited quantity, Converse introduces the Converse Chuck Taylor Made in Maine Boot. Created in partnership with the Highland Shoe Company in Maine, the boot celebrates the quality and hand-made craftsmanship historically found in New England. The rugged silhouette of the boot is highlighted by oiled Chamois leather from the Chicago based Horween Leather Company and an ultra-sturdy Vibram Jumbo Ripple outsole with leather board construction to allow the shoe to be re-soled for future use and hold up to wear and tear.
Limited to 80 pairs, the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Made in Maine Collection launches November 30, 2012 at Converse boutiques in New York City and Boston, and select First String retailers globally for $350.
