Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby is shaping up to have one of the more highly anticipated movie soundtracks in recent history. In addition toJay-z helming executive production duties for the soundtrack comes news from E! Online that Beyoncé and André 3000 will cover Amy Winehouse‘s “Back to Black.”
There has yet to be an official release date for the soundtrack, which will be released via Interscope but things are in progress. According to an Interscope Records rep who spoke to E!, the cover “is a very different take on ‘Back to Black’”. This marks the second collaboration between both artists after Bey’s 4-cut “Party.” The film, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire, is set to hit theaters on May 10.
