Big K.R.I.T., Bigger Picture (video)

Marc Ecko swaps hats to direct Big K.R.I.T.’s “Bigger Picture”, the slow jam from his recent mixtape, King Remembered in Time. The clip starts off with a close up of a couple then cuts to an over head shot. A few source materials could be cited as the inspiration, personally, after watching the video I thought of the Here is Today site. A simple yet moving video, K.R.I.T. continuously hits the mark with thoughtful pieces.

From Complex:

The video is directed by none other than Complex‘s own Marc Ecko. “I wanted to allow the viewer to sense [KRIT’s] effortless ability to be thoughtful—but never heavy handed,” said Ecko, on his Tumblr page.

The clip reminds us of the Monsters of Folk video for “Dear God” which had a similar use of zooming out. However, it’s actually a homage to the 1977 short film, Powers of Ten.

KRIT’s video is apart of Complex TV’s Original Music Video Series.
