Drake “Don’t Forget I’m Black, Don’t Forget I’m Jewish” on Saturday Night Live

The opening monologue from Drake last night on Saturday Night Light featured him stating some fun facts about himself:

  • He has a white, Jewish mother and black father
  • He’s Canadian and grew up in Toronto
  • He apologized for creating the term “YOLO”
  • He used to go by his real name, Aubrey Graham, and starred in the teen drama “Degrassi”

The monologue then continued with a flashback of his Bar Mitzvah, with appearances from his relatives including his mom, dad,  and extended family. His aunt was played by new black, female cast member Sasheer Zamata played his aunt in her “SNL” debut.

Watch the funny opener below which even featured a mention of Rihanna. It was a great start to Drake hosting and performing on Saturday Night live.
