Must-Hit: The Internet Performs At The Troc, Wednesday, September 23

The Internet is bringing their Ego Death Tour to The Trocadero right here in Philly on Wednesday, September 23. The soulful collective from Odd Future fame will be joined by Moonchild, St. Beauty and Andrea Valle for an eclectic mix of R&B, pop, and soul.

Originally a duo of Syd tha Kid and Matt Martians, The Internet now performs as a band of six including Patrick Paige II, Christopher Allan Smith, Jameel Bruner, and Steve Lacy. Syd broke out from the Odd Future camp, which featured the acclaimed Frank Ocean and Tyler the Creator, after working as their house engineer for years. Putting on her singer/songwriter hat instead, she collaborated with the group’s Matt Martians to create their debut album Purple Naked Ladies in 2011.

Falling into the vast category of alternative R&B, the project explored the depths of love, relationships and all that comes with it. Their latest effort Ego Death shows the band coming into their own and is the group’s third full length project.

Joining The Internet at The Troc will be soulful jazz trio Moonchild, Philly based artist Andrea Valle and the soulful duo St. Beauty who was recently featured on the Wondaland Presents: The Eephus EP. A roster full of talented artists, you will want to arrive early to catch them all.

This show will be full of deliciously soulful music. Grab your tickets soon! We hear they are going fast!
