After imagining a newly-deserted Parisian landscape for its Spring/Summer 2016 collection, French stalwart Maison Kitsuné has gone in a completely different direction for the autumnal season ahead. Touching down in the Land of the Rising Sun, the label’s upcoming drop channels Parisian chic and Japanese inspiration alike. The results include everything from nods to the Japanese flag and patchwork-decorated haori-style tops to a Mt. Fuji camouflage motif and distinctly Japanese take on the brand’s ubiquitous fox. Everything from varsity letters and retro baseball jerseys to denim workwear and trim button-downs make an appearance as Kitsuné channels Japan’s own spin on the American styles of old.
