Tom Ford Reveals 2016 Spring Campaign Shot by Nick Knight

Tom Ford has just unveiled his 2016 spring campaign, shot by renowned fashion photographer Nick Knight in Los Angeles. In the first image, we see an atmospheric environment lit with a dramatic chiaroscuro effect as models are garbed with vibrantly colored tuxedos and flashy sequined dresses. The campaign will feature models Lucky Blue Smith, Mica Arganaraz and Lida Fox, with the photos originating from the 2016 spring/summer lookbook video starring Lady Gaga. As a direct product of the designer’s decision to abstain from presenting a live runway show, Tom Ford instead opted for the fashion video as a medium. Inspired by the ’70s TV Show, "Soul Train," he said of the project, "I decided to try something new. I wanted to think about how to present a collection in a cinematic way that was designed, from its inception, to be presented online.” The campaign launches today on tomford.com and will kick off internationally in the March issues of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and Vanity Fair.
