Barneys is returning to its downtown Manhattan roots. The luxury department store reopened at the 7th Avenue location where it was founded. The new flagship is focused on balancing the historic legacy of the brand with digital advancements that have come around since the location originally closed its doors in the 90s. New to Barneys: beacon services in store and out, iPad equipped associates and same-day delivery. “The most important touchpoint is the phone,” said Barneys vp of digital Matthew Woolsey.
