Curren$y Flips An Erykah Badu Gem Into “Good Cop, Bad Cop”

Curren$y Flips An Erykah Badu Gem Into "Good Cop, Bad Cop"

Throughout her career‘s music has been used, abused and reused almost as often as any soul great. In the last few years alone, we’ve heard Kendrick Lamar, The Game, Bishop Nehru and more repurpose her classics (more than often “On & On”) for their own hits. Today, however, Curren$y steps up to the plate with his own take Queen E. Badu’s “Other Side Of The Game” (which boasts writing credits from, James Poyser and the late, Rich Nichols,) using its breezy and spacious arrangement to reflect on our current struggles with police brutality while ruminating on his own experiences with crooked officers. You can hear Curren$y make “Other Side Of The Game” his own down below. As for Erykah Badu, you can catch her on the road this summer, the dates for which are listed just under the player.
