Swizz Beats takes A$AP Rocky on a tour of his home hood, the Bronx, in a piece of #brandedcontent for Bacardi.
The much-hyped rapper and producer pass by Swizz’s old hangouts, some of which were cradles for the nascent hip-hop scene back in the day. Case in point would be 1520 Sedgwick Avenue, once the home of Cool Herc but also the building where Swizz’s dad lived, which hosted some hip-hop’s earliest block parties.
It’s a trip down memory lane and a hip-hop pilgrimage of sorts, with this illustrious duo musing on the subjects of music and art and the importance of the Bronx to the hip-hop narrative, the end goal of which is to drum up publicity for the Bacardi x No Commission “Art Performs” event next week, which aims to give back to the community that has given so much to art.
