WHIZ LIMITED 2013 Spring/Summer Collection

WHIZ LIMITED 2013 Spring/Summer Collection

WHIZ LIMITED was originally founded in 2000 by Japanese designer Hiroaki Shitano. Consisting originally of handmade, printed tees, the label has since expanded to include a complete range of streetwear infused with an eccentric Japanese flair. For Spring/Summer 2013, Shitano looked to the modern city as his inspiration for the new “OFF CITY” collection — the designer was himself raised in the metropolitan ward of Shinjuku, and this is reflected in the clothing’s distinctly urban vibe and predominantly dark color palette. The range consists of tailored basics interspersed with technical garments and modern details, along with prints and pops of color that suggest city lights and urban signage. Sleek and thoroughly modern, look for the new WHIZ LIMITED collection to drop at selected stockists in Japan and worldwide.

Maison Martin Margiela for H&M 2012 Fall/Winter Collection

Maison Martin Margiela for H&M 2012 Fall/Winter Collection

When it was announced earlier that Maison Martin Margiela‘s collection for H&M would be an array of “limited re-editions,” the partnership instantly established itself as one of the most anticipated and coveted collaborations of the year. Lauded and referenced by everyone from A$AP Rocky to Kanye West, MMM’s profile has exploded as of late, perhaps a little ironic considering Margiela’s famed reclusiveness and historically low profile. Now, with the release of the collection’s lookbook, the Swedish retailer seems poised to draw even longer lines when the offerings release on November 15. The clothing itself is an array of sophisticated silhouettes extracted from the Belgian designer’s archives, each one an established classic redone for H&M’s massive audience. Among the menswear standouts are new replicas of the label’s contemporary suiting, a shearling-like coat and an array of boots and accessories that should stir up a good bit of Margiela madness next month. Stay tuned for more details as they surface and the collection’s release date approaches.

MANASTASH 2012 Fall/Winter Collection

MANASTASH 2012 Fall/Winter Collection

MANASTASH was established in 1993 in Seattle, embodying the Pacific Northwest’s distinctive outdoors aesthetic. The label was named for the Manastash Highlands — located near the Cascade Range — where sports such as skiing, hiking, mountain biking and kayaking are common, and was most notable for its use of functional, sustainable materials on technical silhouettes. Under new Japanese ownership, the brand has since evolved into a nice blend of function and style, garments ideal for “the free-wheeling lifestyle.” MANASTASH’s collection for Fall/Winter 2012 retains its classic silhouettes and fabrics while imbuing the clothing with spectacular color-blocking, patterns and updated fits. Among the standouts are fleece jackets and vests, along with down parkas that make use of unconventional color palettes — pinks, purples and brighter greens — infusing the staid genre of outdoors sportwear with strong graphic punches. Look for the Fall/Winter 2012 collection at selected stockists and the seasonal catalogue at MANASTASH‘s website.

Mac Miller – He Who Ate All The Caviar

When we shared Mac Miller’s track “These Dayz” last night we told you to be on the lookout for a followup track, but instead of simply dropping a .mp3, Miller gets in front of the camera and shares a video for his track “He Who Ate All The Caviar.” Sharing the screen with some of his homies and an assortment of stuffed teddy bears, Mac chooses to pay homage to St. Lunatics leader Nelly, as he wears a band-aid underneath his eye and delivers his raps. The track is once again produced by Miller’s alter-ego Larry Fisherman, and the visuals come courtesy of Rex Arrow.

Chris Rock to Tour with Dave Chappelle?

After revealing back in January to fans that he and Dave Chappelle may join forces for a stand-up comedy tour, Chris Rock now shares that he and Chappelle are in talks of bringing it together. Rock shared in an interview earlier this year that he was inspired by Kanye West and Jay-Z’s Watch The Throne tour, and when he sat down with the New York Times he went on to say:

I haven’t done any dirty work in a while. I’m ready to curse. I’m ready to really, really be a bad boy. I’m ready to actually be Chris Rock. It’s time for me to hit the stage or something.

During his promotional run for his latest film Madagascar 3, Rock made a visit to NBC’s Today show and spoke about returning to the stage.

Me and Chappelle have been working out, trying to get some stuff together. But we will see.

Only time will tell if the two comedic legends will turn this into a reality, but the thought of it alone is definitely to be excited about. Let us know your thoughts down below, and we’ll be sure to keep you up to date as more information is shared.

Nike Air Force 1 “Glow in the Dark”

Sitting at 30 years young, the Nike Air Force 1 continues to reinvent itself. Prepared by Nike Sportswear, we see the classic basketball shoe given a slight update over the sole unit. Dark grey holds down the upper with limited interruption from the white Nike Swoosh. Tonal branding is found across the heel and tongue, while metal lace jewel sits quietly at the base of the laces. A glow in the dark outsole provides a new twist one the design, as does the speckled midsole. The Nike Air Force 1 “Glow in the Dark” is available now at Corporate.
