To commemorate the release of the documentary “Beats, Rhymes & Life – The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest,” A Tribe Called Quest hooked up with Japanese brand Applebum for a special T-shirt. Deriving its name from the group’s first single “Bonita Applebum” off their debut album, Applebum was a natural choice for this special piece. The tee features a bright red and green camo-esque print made famous by the group’s signature usage of the pattern punctuated by a bold, white graphic with the name of the documentary across the front. Just 20 of these special tees have been produced and rather than being sold they are being offered up in a giveaway on the brand’s site. Unfortunately the giveaway is limited to residents of Japan.
