online brand cialis cheap secure explains why Rocafella records was never a dynasty..
A lot of times in hip hop an artist presents a word or a statement and the public actually takes it as factual information. One of the biggest examples of this is the bold proclamation that Roca-fella Records was a Dynasty like no other. What I’m saying is taking nothing away from the success that Rocafella had in their prime. I’d be happy to gain half the success Rocafella had. Being from Philly, it was clear that Roca-fella was the top label in the early 2000’s after the decline of Ruff Ryders, No Limit Death Row, Bad Boy, nonetheless they were a label carried by Jay-Z on the music side & carried by Dame on the business side. With Amil & Memphis Bleek (Still, I always believed Bleek was one hit away & hotter than most rappers out today) on the front lines, I always felt it was disrespectful to to consider Rocafella a Dynasty in the midst of other labels who had multiple superstars. While Beans, Free & the rest of State property consistently held it down for the streets they always struggled to gain mainstream appeal. The only “stars” outside of Jay-Z on the label were DJ Clue, Cam’ron & Kanye West who never really felt like Rocafella artist. DJ Clue had his own movement before Rocafella and basically helped to put the roc on, Cam’ron represented Diplomats & shunned the Rocafella name just as much as Jay & Dame repped Rocafella & shunned the fact that they were on Def Jam (See Dame Flipping out on Kevin Liles on Backstage->http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLrNfwAmidc) Kanye built his own movement & was only accepted into the camp only after he released his single using his own money.
Bad Boy was built from the ground up by Puff. Damn near all his artist have a plaque, Craig Mack, Biggie, Mase, the Lox, Puff, Faith, Carl Thomas, 112 and later on Shyne. That’s a dynasty. Death Row had 3 of the biggest artist of all time in Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg & 2pac, & still had a triple platinum album from Tha Doggpound. Everything that Death row touched went gold or platinum and they had the hottest hookmaker in the game in Nate Dogg. That’s a dynasty. Cash Money was a dynasty, look at the hot boys, all of them were stars, Juvenile, Lil Wayne, B.G. and Turk. No Limit, as garbage as a lot of them were had enough stars to sell 75 million records, with Master P, C Murder, Silk The Shocker, Snoop Dogg, Fiend Mia X, Soulja Slim. By now you should understand what a real dynasty is..it’s not a label being soley carried by one artist.
The evidence of this is seen by how quickly it fell after the label was sold. You remove Jay-Z from the rest of the label (exceptions being DJ Clue, Cam’ron & Kanye) and no one is doing anything worth mentioning. Bad Boy lost it’s top artist in the label in The Notorious BIG and some how managed to become even bigger when Puffy, Mase, Faith Evans, The Lox & Black Rob picked it up. Death Row lost it’s top producer in Dr. Dre and some how Tupac Stepped in & made Death Row even bigger until the time of his death & Suge Knight’s arrest.
