imé Leon Dore (ALD) and New Balance are back with a brand-new silhouette: the RC56. This release continues ALD founder Teddy Santis’ deep dive into the New Balance archives, taking cues from early-2000s cross-country running models and giving them a fresh, contemporary spin.

The RC56 features bold overlays, speed-inspired lines, and a low-profile sole unit — all elements pulled from performance heritage, now reworked for lifestyle wear. Available in Pristine, Navy, and Green, each colorway offers a unique tone that fits seamlessly into ALD’s established aesthetic: clean, elevated, and subtly nostalgic.

As with past launches, ALD set the tone with a curated rollout. The first of two campaign videos offers a behind-the-scenes look at the RC56’s creation, filmed at New Balance’s Boston HQ, showing sketches, materials, and prototyping. The second is more atmospheric — shot in a marble quarry in Dionysos, Greece, where the same stone used for the Parthenon was sourced, nodding to Santis’ Greek heritage and his emphasis on timeless craftsmanship.
