BEAMS and Birkenstock are back with the fourth installment of their "Bone Pattern" series, this time bringing the design to the Boston in smooth black leather. The release coincides with the Boston silhouette's 50th anniversary and marks a significant material shift for the ongoing collaboration, trading the series' previous constructions for a premium smooth leather build.
The signature "Bone Pattern" — derived directly from the traction pattern found on Birkenstock outsoles — is deeply embossed across the entire leather upper in tonal black. The monochromatic execution keeps the look versatile and clean, purpose-built to align with the street-casual aesthetic BEAMS has long championed. The Boston's contoured cork-latex footbed and anatomical structure remain intact beneath the updated surface treatment. The BEAMS x Birkenstock Boston "Bone Pattern" in Smooth Black drops March 20 at BEAMS Harajuku, followed by a wider release March 22 via BEAMS and BEAMS BOY. Pricing has not been announced.
