Cade Cunningham becomes sixth active NBA player to get a Nike signature shoe

Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham has officially joined Nike's most exclusive club. The 24-year-old signed a six-year deal with Nike that includes his first signature shoe, expected to debut in spring 2027.

This makes Cunningham the sixth active NBA player with a Nike signature shoe, joining LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Ja Morant, and Devin Booker.

The announcement came through Kevin Durant's Boardroom podcast, where the veteran offered some wisdom to basketball's newest signature athlete: "Make sure you're hands on with all the designs, man. This s--t is fun, bro. It's fun once you really put your hands on it."

After earning his first All-Star selection and third-team All-NBA honors last season, he's elevated his play even further this year, averaging career highs across the board while leading Detroit to an 11-2 start atop the Eastern Conference.
