Official images are now out for the COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS x Nike Air Max Dolce SP in triple black (IQ5171-002), and they confirm what the SS26 Paris Fashion Week runway suggested: this is a quietly serious shoe. The collaboration reimagines the archival Air Max Dolce — a slip-on sneaker-loafer hybrid — with glossy patent leather on the toe, tongue, and heel, smooth leather overlays, and a tonal midsole with a visible heel Max Air unit. There are no laces, no loud graphics. The co-branding lives on the insoles. An embossed "Nike Air" logo sits on the heel. Everything else defers to the silhouette.
Rei Kawakubo's COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS has always approached Nike collaborations with a kind of studied restraint — the design language is CDG first, Nike second, and the result is usually something that reads differently depending on whether the person looking at it knows the context. The triple black colorway makes that dynamic work in every direction: it's anonymous enough to disappear into an outfit and specific enough that the right eye will stop on it.
The Air Max Dolce SP drops summer 2026 via Nike at $400 USD. For a CDG collab moving from runway to retail, that's the expected entry point. If the runway presentation is the preview, the shoe will reward closer attention when it arrives.
