Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni fired offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo on Tuesday, the team announced. The decision came two days after the Eagles lost 23-19 to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card round.
Sirianni released the following statement: "I have decided to make a change at offensive coordinator. I met with Kevin today to discuss the difficult decision, as he is a great coach who has my utmost respect. He has been integral to this team's success over the last five years, not only to the on-field product but behind the scenes as a valued leader for our players and organization. I have no doubt he will continue to have a successful coaching career. Ultimately, when we fall short of our goals that responsibility lies on my shoulders."
Patullo joined the Eagles in 2021 as pass game coordinator under Sirianni. He was promoted to associate head coach in 2023, then elevated to offensive coordinator in 2025 after Kellen Moore departed to become head coach of the New Orleans Saints. The Eagles offense declined significantly during Patullo's lone season as coordinator. Scoring dropped from 27.2 points per game (seventh in the NFL) to 22.3 (19th). Total offense fell from eighth to 24th in the league. The rushing attack decreased from 179 yards per game (second) to 116.9 (18th).
