The Philadelphia Eagles hired Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion as offensive coordinator, the team announced Thursday.
Mannion, 33, replaces Kevin Patullo and becomes the Eagles' fifth offensive coordinator in five seasons under head coach Nick Sirianni. The former NFL backup quarterback spent nine seasons in the league before transitioning to coaching in February 2024. Mannion joined the Packers as an offensive assistant, working with quarterbacks Jordan Love and Malik Willis.
Green Bay promoted him to quarterbacks coach on January 31, 2025, following Tom Clements' retirement. Mannion has no play-calling experience in his brief coaching career. He spent his playing career with the Rams, Vikings, and Seahawks, throwing 1,350 career passing yards across 19 games. At Oregon State, Mannion threw for 13,600 yards, which ranked eighth in NCAA history at the time of his graduation.
He worked under Packers head coach Matt LaFleur in Green Bay's offensive system, which is rooted in the Shanahan scheme. The Eagles conducted an extensive search before selecting Mannion. Philadelphia's offense struggled late in the 2025 season, leading to Patullo's removal from play-calling duties.
