Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert is set to hit free agency for the first time in his career. According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Media, the Eagles are interested in re-signing him and the sides will continue to talk — though Philadelphia has several contracts to manage, including the future of wide receiver A.J. Brown, that could affect their budget.
GM Howie Roseman acknowledged the challenge: "We've got to put the whole puzzle together. When we get this late, obviously the market dictates a lot of that as well."
In eight seasons with Philadelphia, Goedert has totaled 409 receptions for 4,676 yards and 35 touchdowns. Last season, he caught a career-high 11 touchdowns on 60 receptions for 591 yards — after taking a $4.25 million pay cut to remain with the team.
