Sunday is wall-to-wall baseball. Fifteen MLB games, nearly all of them in the afternoon, plus two WNBA matchups built around this season's expansion clubs. The Bronx gets the headliner early, with Boston and New York on ESPN at 1:35.
Marquee: Red Sox at Yankees, AL East rivalry on national TV (1:35 PM ET, ESPN)
The records tell most of the story. New York is 37-26 and 18-12 at home. Boston comes in at 27-35 and a rough 10-21 on the road. The pitching gap is just as wide: Cam Schlittler has been the Yankees' best arm at 7-3 with a 1.89 ERA, and he draws Ranger Suarez (2-3, 3.38) for the Sox. Boston is without Rodgers, and a few Yankees are listed day-to-day, but nothing that changes the shape of this one. It is the rivalry, on a national window, with the home team in much better form.

Also tonight
- Pirates at Braves (1:35 PM ET). Atlanta owns the best record on the slate at 44-21 and sends Bryce Elder (5-3, 2.63) to the mound. Pittsburgh, 34-31, gives the ball to Bubba Chandler. The Braves are the team to beat in the National League right now.
- Angels at Dodgers (4:10 PM ET, Sportsnet LA). The Freeway Series moves to Dodger Stadium for an afternoon edition. Always a draw for the Los Angeles crowd, and the Dodgers' lineup makes it appointment viewing on its own.
- Mets at Padres (4:10 PM ET, SNY). San Diego hosts New York with Darvish still out for the Padres. Two clubs that expect to be playing meaningful games in October trading shots in early June.
- Sky at Tempo (3:00 PM ET, CW26/TSN). Chicago visits Toronto, where the expansion Tempo are still finding their footing in their first season. A good look at the WNBA's new northern outpost.
- Fire at Sparks (7:00 PM ET, NBA TV/FOX). The other 2026 expansion club, the Portland Fire, head to Los Angeles for a national WNBA window. Two new franchises on the same Sunday is a sign of how fast the league is growing.
- Giants at Cubs (8:30 PM ET, NBC/Peacock). The night closes at Wrigley in the primetime national slot. San Francisco and Chicago both sit in the playoff mix, and this is the only game still going after the afternoon wave clears.
