Tuesday is built around one game. The Stanley Cup Final is back in Las Vegas for Game 4, and Carolina is running out of room. The rest of the night is a deep MLB card plus two WNBA games worth your time. Here's what to watch.
Marquee: Carolina Hurricanes at Vegas Golden Knights, Stanley Cup Final Game 4 (8:00 PM EDT, ABC)
Vegas leads the series 2-1 and can put a stranglehold on the Cup tonight. The Golden Knights took Game 3 in double overtime, 5-4, after Mitch Marner buried the fastest hat trick in Final history, three goals in 6:10 (our recap here). Carolina has the better regular-season résumé, the best record in the East at 53-22-7, but it's now down a game and on the road, where one more loss makes this a 3-1 hole that almost nobody climbs out of. The Hurricanes won Game 2 in overtime, so they've shown they can hang with Vegas. They just can't keep trading haymakers and losing the late ones. Expect Carolina to lean on its forecheck and try to drag this into a low-event game rather than the track meet Vegas keeps winning.

- Yankees at Guardians (6:40 PM EDT). The night's big national baseball window, on TBS and Prime Video. Two AL teams that have spent recent Octobers in each other's way, with the Yankees' lineup against a Cleveland club that always seems to find pitching.
- Dodgers at Pirates (6:40 PM EDT). Los Angeles brings the most expensive lineup in the sport to Pittsburgh. The draw here is the Pirates' young arms trying to make a statement against it.
- Phillies at Blue Jays (7:07 PM EDT). Two clubs with real October ambitions meet north of the border. A good measuring-stick game for both.
- Dream at Sky (7:00 PM EDT). The WNBA's early window on ESPN. Atlanta visits Chicago in a matchup of two young rosters still sorting out where they sit in the standings.
- Mercury at Valkyries (10:00 PM EDT). The late WNBA game on the West Coast. Phoenix's veterans against Golden State's expansion group, which has been scrappier than anyone expected.
The thread tonight is pressure. Carolina is the team with everything to lose and the most to prove, and if the Hurricanes can't steal one in Vegas, this Final is effectively over. Everything else is the warmup act to puck drop at 8.
