It is a loaded Wednesday. The World Cup group stage hits its decisive matchday with four games kicking off at once, the Dodgers send Shohei Ohtani to the mound, the reigning Cy Young winner takes the ball on Prime Video, and Caitlin Clark's Fever are home. Here is what is worth your screen time.
Marquee: Brazil vs. Scotland, World Cup Group C finale (6:00 PM ET, FOX)
Scotland have never beaten Brazil. Ten meetings, zero wins, and now the one that matters most. Steve Clarke's side sit third in Group C on three points after a 1-0 loss to Morocco, and a result against the five-time champions would send them into a World Cup knockout round for the first time ever. Brazil have not been convincing through two matches, and Scotland looked dangerous late against Morocco once they finally pushed forward. Neymar may be fit enough to make the squad. Morocco play Haiti at the same hour, so the Group C table will move in real time. It is at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, with the Tartan Army staring down win-or-go-home math.
Vegas line (ESPN/DraftKings): Brazil -310 to win, Draw +450, total goals over/under 2.5.

- Canada at Switzerland (3:00 PM ET, FOX). A co-host closes out its group with qualification on the line. Canada have looked the part on home soil, and both sides are still alive heading into the finale. Expect Switzerland to come out needing a win.
- Mexico at Czechia (9:00 PM ET, FOX). The other co-host headlines the nightcap. Mexico are unbeaten through two and have been one of the tournament's early surprises, with a chance to top the group. A primetime watch.
- Yankees at Tigers (6:40 PM ET, Prime Video). Tarik Skubal, the reigning AL Cy Young winner, takes the ball against a Yankees lineup sitting near the top of the AL East at 47-31. Detroit have scuffled, but Skubal on the mound is appointment viewing. It is the national window on Prime.
- Dodgers at Twins (7:40 PM ET). Shohei Ohtani is the listed starter for the best team in baseball at 51-29. Any Ohtani start is a national event, and he is doing it against Joe Ryan and a Minnesota club fighting to stay in the AL Central race.
- Rangers at Marlins (12:10 PM ET). The day opens early with Jacob deGrom on the mound in Miami. If you are reading this over coffee, this is the one that starts first. Vintage deGrom is still must-watch when the arm is right.
- Mercury at Fever (7:30 PM ET, USA). Caitlin Clark and the Fever (10-7) host a struggling Phoenix side on national TV. Indiana have found a rhythm, and Clark in primetime is still the league's biggest draw.
The thread tonight is stakes.
