The World Cup quarterfinals land in Foxborough on Thursday, and it is a heavyweight rematch: France and Morocco meet again three and a half years after their 2022 semifinal in Qatar. Underneath it sits a full 13-game MLB slate, headlined by the best team in baseball in primetime, plus a three-game WNBA night.
World Cup today
- France vs Morocco (4:00pm ET, FOX). Quarterfinal at Gillette Stadium, and a rematch of the 2022 semifinal that France won 2-0. France advanced past Paraguay in the round of 16; Morocco knocked out host nation Canada 3-0 to reach the last eight again. The winner moves on to the semifinals.
Marquee: Brewers at Cardinals, MLB's best team in St. Louis (7:45pm ET)
Milwaukee brings the best record in baseball, 58-34, into Busch Stadium for the finale of a four-game set. Logan Henderson (2-1, 2.74 ERA) starts for the Brewers against Andre Pallante (10-5, 3.60) for the Cardinals, who sit at 48-43 and are trying to stay in the NL Central race. Milwaukee has been the story of the first half. St. Louis has the veteran arm on the mound and home crowd behind it. This is the kind of division game that shapes the standings heading into the All-Star break.

- Fever at Mercury (10:00pm ET). Caitlin Clark and the Fever (12-9) head to Phoenix to face the Mercury (8-14). The late window's main draw.
- Aces at Fire (10:00pm ET). The Aces (15-6) visit expansion Portland (9-12) at the Moda Center. Las Vegas has climbed back into contention out West.
