Sunday is a two-sport day. The headliner runs at night on national TV: the Indiana Fever visit the defending-champion Las Vegas Aces on NBC's Sunday Night Basketball. Before that, baseball owns the afternoon with a 15-game slate, the Dodgers and Brewers carrying the two best records in the National League.
Marquee: Indiana Fever at Las Vegas Aces (9:00 PM ET, NBC/Peacock)
This is a rematch of a game the Fever already won. Indiana beat these same Aces by 16 last week without Caitlin Clark, with Kelsey Mitchell dropping 27. Clark is out again tonight, back at practice but not cleared as she works through a back injury. So the real question is whether Indiana can do it twice on the road against the champs, and whether A'ja Wilson makes them pay. Wilson just returned from an ankle problem and went for 32 and 10 in her first game back. Las Vegas is 17-6 and at home; Indiana is 13-9 and playing its best ball of the year.

- Brewers at Pirates (12:15 PM ET, Peacock). Milwaukee (59-36) owns the best record in the National League and opens the day in Pittsburgh. The Pirates (49-47) have been tougher at home, and a getaway-day afternoon at PNC Park is exactly the spot where a first-place team can slip.
- Cubs at Reds (1:40 PM ET). Chicago (53-42) is chasing Milwaukee in the NL Central and cannot afford to give ground to a sub-.500 Cincinnati (43-51) club. The Cubs have the deeper lineup; the game hinges on the arms.
- Mariners at Rays (1:40 PM ET). Tampa Bay (56-37) has quietly built the best record in the American League. Seattle (47-49) is stuck around .500 and needs series like this to stay in the wild-card race.
- Diamondbacks at Dodgers (4:10 PM ET, ESPN). The Dodgers (61-35) have the best record in baseball and land the national window. Arizona (48-47) is hanging around the wild card and has given Los Angeles fits inside the division before.
- Sky at Wings (7:00 PM ET, ESPN). Dallas (15-8) has turned into one of the better stories in the WNBA. Chicago (7-15) is rebuilding and will lean on its young core to keep this within reach.
- Liberty at Tempo (3:00 PM ET, NBA TV). New York (13-10) heads north to face Toronto (9-13), the league's new expansion side. First-year franchises take their lumps, but the Tempo have been feisty in front of their own crowd.
