Sunday starts early. The two best-known teams in the WNBA tip at 12:30 p.m. ET on network television, and fifteen baseball games follow behind it, closing with Houston at San Diego on NBC. If you only have room for two games today, take the one at noon and the one at night.
Marquee: Las Vegas Aces at New York Liberty (12:30 p.m. ET, ABC)
The Aces come in at 22-10, the Liberty at 19-13, and the number does not match the records. Las Vegas is on the back half of a road trip after losing 98-87 at Minnesota on Saturday, per ESPN, and New York has been winning at Barclays. That is how a team with a worse record ends up a double-digit favorite. Watch whether Las Vegas has legs in the second half. Short rest and cross-country travel show up late, and this line is priced like the market already believes it.

- Dallas Wings at Minnesota Lynx (3:30 p.m. ET, NBC). Minnesota is 26-7 and the best team in the league. Dallas is 19-13 and coming off a 94-76 loss at Golden State. The Lynx beat the Aces on Saturday night, so this is a short turnaround for them too.
- Tampa Bay Rays at Seattle Mariners (4:10 p.m. ET). The Rays are 70-46 and quietly one of the three best records in baseball. Seattle is 56-62 and playing out a disappointing summer at T-Mobile Park.
- Los Angeles Dodgers at Arizona Diamondbacks (4:10 p.m. ET). Division game with real stakes. Los Angeles is 70-47, Arizona is 62-56 and needs games like this one to stay in it.
- Golden State Valkyries at Los Angeles Sparks (7:00 p.m. ET, ESPN). Golden State is 22-9 in year two and has won three straight. The Sparks are 12-18. The expansion team is now the better team.
- Houston Astros at San Diego Padres (8:20 p.m. ET, NBC). Sunday night baseball, and it is a coin flip on paper. Houston is 60-58, San Diego is 61-57, both hanging around the wild card.
