It's a baseball-only Wednesday with 15 MLB games and two weeks left in the regular season. Day games start at 1:00 ET. The best one is at night at Wrigley.
Marquee: Braves at Cubs, series finale (7:40 PM ET)
Two of the NL's better teams split the first two games. Chicago won Monday 7-3 when Pete Crow-Armstrong had four hits and his 42nd home run. Atlanta took Tuesday 6-3. So tonight settles the series. Atlanta comes in at 89-63 and Chicago at 84-68. Shota Imanaga (10-10, 3.88) starts for the Cubs. JR Ritchie (1-2, 4.50) starts for the Braves. Vegas line (ESPN odds): Cubs -157, Braves +130. Run line Cubs -1.5 (+144). Total 7.5.

- Dodgers at Reds (6:40 PM ET). Blake Snell goes for 92-59 Los Angeles. Andrew Abbott starts for Cincinnati.
- Brewers at Pirates (6:40 PM ET). Milwaukee is 94-57, the best record on today's slate. Logan Henderson faces Jared Jones.
- Phillies at Nationals (6:45 PM ET). Zack Wheeler starts for 83-68 Philadelphia against Jared Simpson.
- Athletics at Rays (6:40 PM ET). Tampa Bay is 91-59. Nick Martinez starts against Brady Basso.
- White Sox at Guardians (1:00 PM ET, ESPN). Chicago is 77-74 and Cleveland is 77-75, so this one is close in the standings. Anthony Kay faces Parker Messick.
- Yankees at Twins (1:40 PM ET). Carlos Rodon starts for 88-63 New York against Zebby Matthews.
The rest of the slate: Giants at Cardinals (1:15), Tigers at Blue Jays (3:07), Orioles at Mets (7:00, ESPN), Red Sox at Rangers (8:05), Royals at Astros (8:10), Padres at Rockies (8:40), Mariners at Angels (9:38), Marlins at Diamondbacks (9:40).
The contenders are mostly playing teams they should beat, which puts more weight on Wrigley. If you only watch one game tonight, watch Imanaga try to take the series.
