Marquee: Cleveland Guardians at Tampa Bay Rays

8:00 PM ET, TBS / truTV

Freddy Peralta takes the mound for Tampa Bay against Cleveland's Parker Messick with the Rays favored at home. Per ESPN's odds page, Tampa Bay is -143 on the moneyline against Cleveland's +119, the total sits at 7 runs, and the run line has the Rays -1.5 (+159) against the Guardians' +1.5 (-194). The Rays swept the Yankees in the ALDS and won the regular-season series against Cleveland 5-1, outscoring them 20-8 along the way, per Just Baseball's series preview. The Guardians got here the harder way, clawing back from a 2-0 deficit to beat the White Sox in five. Peralta has been sharp all postseason; Messick gives up the big swing more than Cleveland would like, and Tropicana Field's short porches haven't helped visiting pitchers lately.

Pick: Rays -1.5.
