Editor's note: picks below are Vegas lines, not our own, until the Uristocrat Watch model ships. The marquee carries a sourced line; the rest of the slate doesn't yet.
Opening week of the NBA season delivers a genuine rematch tonight: the Spurs host the Thunder in San Antonio, a Western Conference Finals run-back on NBC. Add two more NBC windows (Celtics-Pistons in the afternoon, Sixers-Knicks in prime time) and a full NHL slate, and it's a busy Tuesday for anyone with watch.uristocrat.com open.
Marquee: Oklahoma City Thunder at San Antonio Spurs (9:30 PM ET, NBC)
This is the matchup the league office wanted. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder open the season against Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs, the same two teams that met in last season's Western Conference Finals. Both sit near the top of the NBA Finals odds board for 2026-27, so this is a measuring-stick game dressed up as a Tuesday night opener.
Vegas line: Spurs -1.5, total 230.5, Spurs -112 / Thunder +102 (ESPN).
Also tonight
- Boston Celtics at Detroit Pistons (3:00 PM ET, NBC). An early matinee window to kick off the slate, with Boston on the road for an afternoon tip against a Detroit team looking to build on last year's progress.
- Philadelphia 76ers at New York Knicks (7:00 PM ET, NBC). The Knicks open their title defense at home after last season's championship run, with the Sixers as the first test in the Garden.
- Toronto Maple Leafs at Columbus Blue Jackets (7:00 PM ET). An Eastern Conference tilt between two teams looking to establish early-season form.
- Boston Bruins at Dallas Stars (8:00 PM ET, ESPN). Boston heads to Texas for a national-TV window as both clubs settle into the early schedule.
- Tampa Bay Lightning at Vegas Golden Knights (10:30 PM ET, ESPN). A late West Coast window closes the night, pitting two perennial playoff teams against each other.
Three different NBC windows and a finals rematch make tonight one of the fuller slates of opening week. Check watch.uristocrat.com for the full schedule and start times in your time zone.
