Friday night is stacked with NBA action, eleven games tip between 7 and 8 PM ET alone, plus a light college football and NHL slate. The marquee sends the Lakers into prime time against Steph Curry's Warriors on Prime Video.
Marquee: Lakers at Warriors (10:00 PM EDT, Prime Video)
The Lakers roll into Chase Center at 4-1, and Luka Doncic has them playing fast and loose early in his first full season in LA. He's listed day-to-day but expected to go. Golden State sits at 2-3 and still without Kristaps Porzingis, who's out. Steph Curry doesn't appear on the injury report, so he should be on the floor for what's become an annual measuring-stick game between these two franchises. Both teams can score in bunches. This one's set up to go over the total.
Vegas line: Lakers -1.5, total 234.5, Lakers -135 / Warriors +114 moneyline (via ESPN).
Also tonight
- Knicks at 76ers (7:30 PM EDT, Prime Video). Philadelphia is 4-1 and off to one of the better starts in the East, but they're banged up, Walker is out and Brown is day-to-day. New York has struggled to find consistent shot-making at 2-3. Worth watching how much Philly's depth gets tested.
- Rockets at Mavericks (8:00 PM EDT, NBA League Pass). Houston is the last unbeaten team in the league at 5-0. Dallas is still piecing together a rotation at 3-2 with multiple regulars out. This is the Rockets' toughest test yet on paper, but not by much.
- Pacers at Heat (8:00 PM EDT, NBA League Pass). Indiana (2-3) and Miami (1-4) are both still finding their footing early in the season, with injury report names stacking up on both sides. Low stakes, but a useful look at where each roster actually stands right now.
- Nuggets at Suns (10:00 PM EDT, NBA League Pass). Denver is 2-2 and favored on the road by a slim margin. Phoenix is 1-2 at home. A quieter late window, but Denver's half-court execution is worth watching against a Suns defense still sorting out its rotations.
- Devils at Golden Knights (6:00 PM EDT, NHL Network). Vegas is without goaltender Logan Thompson, who's day-to-day, which puts extra weight on the Devils' forecheck to generate quality looks early.
The Lakers-Warriors nightcap is the one to build your night around, but there's a legitimate argument for Rockets-Mavericks if you just want to watch the league's last unbeaten team try to stay that way. Full schedule, odds, and broadcast info for every game is on watch.uristocrat.com.
