Vegas lines on this post come straight from the sportsbook for the marquee game only. The rest of the slate is schedule and context, no picks, until our picks model goes live. For the full live slate, odds, and injury notes on every game tonight, head to watch.uristocrat.com.
Tuesday night is a split screen. The defending Stanley Cup champions take the league's best record on the road, and eight Champions League matches kick off across Europe at the same time. Add in a Kentucky home game and a MACtion special, and there's a game worth watching no matter what you're into.
Marquee: Carolina Hurricanes at Nashville Predators (8:00 PM ET, ESPN+)
Carolina is 12-2, the best record in the NHL, and comes in on a 10-game winning streak capped by a 7-0 shutout of Winnipeg on Sunday. Pyotr Kochetkov has won 10 straight starts to open the season, and the defending champions have held the No. 1 spot in ESPN's power rankings every week since the opener. Nashville is 5-4 at home and will need a big night from its blue line to slow down a Carolina team that isn't missing anybody of note.
Vegas line (ESPN): Hurricanes -192 moneyline, -1.5 (+124), total 6.5 (over +105 / under -125).
Also tonight
- Bayern Munich vs Atlético Madrid (3:00 PM ET, Paramount+). One of eight Champions League matches kicking off simultaneously, and the headliner of the bunch. Bayern have been the most ruthless attacking team left in the competition this fall, and Atlético's defense is the sternest test they've faced since the group stage began.
- Paris Saint-Germain vs Villarreal (3:00 PM ET, Paramount+). PSG is still the team to beat in Europe, and Villarreal has been one of the Champions League's surprise stories this season. Worth flipping over to between periods of the Carolina game.
- Edmonton Oilers at New Jersey Devils (7:30 PM ET, ESPN+). Edmonton is 11-2, the second-best record in the league behind only Carolina, and this is its toughest true road test of the week against a Devils team that's 6-2 at home.
- Manhattan Jaspers at Kentucky Wildcats (7:00 PM ET, SECN+). Early-season tune-up for Kentucky at Rupp Arena. Not competitive on paper, but it's the first look at how this year's Wildcats rotation shakes out before SEC play starts.
- Buffalo Bulls at Miami (OH) RedHawks (8:00 PM ET, ESPN). Tuesday night MACtion, and it's on national TV for a reason: both teams are fighting for bowl eligibility down the stretch of the MAC season.
The thread running through tonight: the two best teams in their sports, Carolina in hockey and Bayern in continental soccer, both on the road and both expected to win anyway. That's usually when the fun starts.
