The Miami Heat beat the Toronto Raptors 129-105 at Videotron Centre in Quebec City on October 3 — the first NBA preseason game ever played in the city. The matchup is part of NBA Canada Games 2026, a slate that also sends the Raptors to Rogers Arena in Vancouver on October 10 before Toronto closes preseason at home and on the road against the Knicks, and on the road against the Pistons.
The Quebec City date followed a training camp the Raptors held in the city from September 29 to October 2 at Université Laval's PEPS athletic complex — Toronto's second camp there, after a prior stay in 2019.
"We have great memories of our 2019 training camp in Quebec City, and the opportunity to spend time in such a historic city, combined with the outstanding facilities at Université Laval, made returning an easy decision," Raptors general manager Bobby Webster said.
The Raptors enter the preseason fresh off signing Kawhi Leonard to a two-year, $115 million extension, and against a backdrop of ownership change at the top of the organization, after Rogers agreed to sell a minority stake in Toronto's sports ownership group at a valuation above $18 billion (US).
