Team Spoon beat Team Coop 129-122 at the United Center in Chicago on Saturday, with New York Liberty forward Jonquel Jones named MVP of the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game after posting 22 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists.
Jones needed just 22 minutes to do it, reaching her double-double inside the first 13 and finishing 8-of-17 from the field, including 4-of-11 from three. It is her fourth career All-Star double-double, more than any other player in WNBA history.
The MVP nod makes Jones the first Liberty player to win the award and, according to ESPN, the first international player to do so. Jones was born in Freeport, the Bahamas, and also holds Bosnian citizenship. The win completes a personal sweep: she has now won WNBA regular-season MVP (2021), Commissioner's Cup MVP (2023), Finals MVP (2024) and All-Star Game MVP (2026), the first player in league history to hold all four. Jones dedicated the award to an aunt who died recently.
Caitlin Clark started for Team Spoon and finished with 17 points and 5 assists, connecting from as far as 33 and 37 feet. The pick-your-own-roster draft format split real-life Indiana Fever teammates across sides: Clark and Aliyah Boston played for Team Spoon, while Kelsey Mitchell lined up for Team Coop and led all scorers there with 28 points, with Marina Mabrey adding 23 points, all of them in the first half. Allisha Gray came off the bench for Team Spoon and hit 5-of-9 from three on her way to 19 points. All three Fever starters had been named All-Star starters together for the first time earlier this month.
Minnesota Lynx rookie Olivia Miles nearly posted a triple-double for Team Spoon, finishing with 11 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists on perfect shooting. Dominique Malonga, at 20, became the youngest player to record an All-Star double-double and threw down the game's first dunk since Sylvia Fowles in 2022. The two rosters carry the names of their honorary general managers, Cynthia Cooper and Teresa Weatherspoon, who drafted the teams earlier this month, with Cheryl Reeve and Becky Hammon coaching on the bench.
A record crowd of 19,783 packed the United Center, capping an All-Star week that opened with A'ja Wilson leading the first fan-vote returns at 308,249, with Clark ranking fifth before earning her starting nod.
