Ronnie Fieg's ASICS Gel-Lyte III "Salmon Toe" returns on Sept. 28, 2026, as part of Kith's 15th anniversary. The pair, style code 1203B281-700, is a Gel-Lyte III Remastered in the original navy, white and salmon colorway and releases through Kith stores and Kith online, Sneaker Bar Detroit reported. Kith and ASICS have not announced a price.
The release was confirmed in Kith: The Footwear Archive, a 444-page book Kith published with Assouline for its 15th anniversary. The book's catalog page lists the pair as "GEL-LYTE III Remastered | Official Release," with the style code and the 09.28.26 date. Kith says the book is the first time Fieg's personal archive has been shown to the public, covering 1,849 collaborative footwear models across 32 brands.
What the original was
The first "Salmon Toe" released in September 2011 for the opening of Kith's first New York store. Just Fresh Kicks reports that 72 pairs sold in person that day, with another 300 released online, and that the colorway marked the point when Fieg left his buyer role at David Z. to run his own label. Fieg's Gel-Lyte III run continued after the Salmon Toe, including the 2013 "New York City" and "Miami Beach" East Coast Project pairs.
Fieg has returned to the colorway twice without a direct retro. A "Salmon Toe 2.0" released in 2016 for Kith's fifth anniversary, and the colorway moved to the Gel-Lyte V for Kith's 10th anniversary in 2021, per Sneaker Bar Detroit.
What changes in 2026
The 2026 pair uses ASICS' Remastered Gel-Lyte III, which adjusts the paneling, logo placement, height and tooling to match the shoe's original shape, according to Sneaker Bar Detroit. Navy suede covers most of the upper, white sits on the ASICS stripes and midsole, and salmon suede wraps the toe as it did in 2011. A FiEG script logo replaces the standard ASICS branding on the side, per Just Fresh Kicks. Fieg previewed a pair on foot through his Instagram broadcast channel, House of Heat reported.
In June 2026 Fieg unveiled the New Balance 2011, his first original silhouette with that brand. Kith unveiled a redesigned Manhattan flagship in 2025.
