Kith and New Balance don't need to reinvent anything to deliver a strong drop. The formula is consistent enough at this point that it functions almost like a brand promise: premium materials, restrained palette, Made in England construction. The Spring 2026 edition of that formula is today's Kith x New Balance Made in UK pack, covering the 991v1 in "Vetiver" (style code M991KI1, $260) and the 991v2 in "Moonrock" (style code U991TK2, $250). Both are available now.
The construction is what separates these from a standard colorway play. Both models are built at New Balance's Flimby factory in England — a facility that's been running since 1982 — using pigskin suede overlays over breathable mesh underlays, with flat woven laces, reflective accents, and "Made in England" embroidery at the tongue. The 991v1 runs ABZORB pods with ENCAP cushioning for a classic, firm ride. The 991v2 updates that with ABZORB SBS pods, ENCAP, and FuelCell technology for more energy return underfoot. The 991v1 is available in men's and women's sizing; the 991v2 is unisex. Kith branding appears at the heel, tongue, and footbed on both silhouettes — subtle enough that you'd miss it if you weren't looking.
The colorways are worth paying attention to. "Vetiver" on the 991v1 reads as a muted olive-grey — the kind of tonal earth palette that sits easily with almost anything in a grown professional's wardrobe. "Moonrock" on the 991v2 goes slightly cooler and more neutral, pairing cream laces with a vintage off-white midsole. These aren't statement shoes. They're the opposite: considered, understated, built to hold up over time. The global drop went live today, Monday, March 16, at 11 AM local time across Kith's New York, London, Paris, and Tokyo stores and at kith.com and the Kith App. A draw was held through the Kith App on Friday, March 13 at 1 PM ET for early access — if you missed it, in-store and online inventory is your path. New Balance does not carry this collab directly; these are Kith-exclusive.
On the secondary market, expect the 991v1 "Vetiver" to hold light premium given the broader unisex demand and the 991 silhouette's consistent cultural standing. The 991v2 "Moonrock" will move more quietly — it's a smaller release and a newer silhouette, but FuelCell adds a practical reason to wear them beyond the aesthetics.
