NFL owners unanimously voted at the league's annual meeting in Phoenix on March 30 to award Super Bowl LXIII to Las Vegas, scheduled for February 2029 at Allegiant Stadium. It will be the city's second Super Bowl — Las Vegas hosted Super Bowl LVIII after the 2023 season and, by every measure, the league viewed that as a success worth repeating.
Commissioner Roger Goodell called it "one of America's greatest sport and entertainment destinations." Raiders owner Mark Davis credited the outcome to the Raiders, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, civic leaders, and the league working together. That's the standard language for these announcements, but the unanimous vote is the real signal — there was no debate about this one.
Vegas getting a second Super Bowl before most cities have gotten their first says something about where the NFL sees its future: in entertainment hubs that can support the week-long circus the game has become. The game itself almost doesn't matter anymore. Everything around it does.
