The albums
The two marquee rap drops are YG's The Gentlemen's Club and Key Glock's Project X, West Coast and Memphis poles of the same week. Tierra Whack returns with Whack's Museum, the genre-bending kind of project that earned its NPR critics' pick. Chris Brown reloads with Brown The Chocolate Edition, Chlöe and Timbaland team for Resurrection, and The War and Treaty deliver The Story of Michael and Tanya. D12 even resurface with D12 Forever (Vol. 1).

The tracks
On the singles side, The Kid LAROI and Kehlani link on "Girls," Chris Brown taps Wizkid for "Man on a Mission," Tyla keeps her run going with "Is It Love," and FKA Twigs and Lil Yachty pair on "On Your Mind." Ne-Yo ("Thinking What I'm Thinking"), Jason Derulo ("Mi Chico"), and a Chaka Khan and Snoop Dogg collab ("Boogie's in My Soul") round out a busy slate. It is a heavier week than our last new-albums rundown.
FKA twigs & Lil Yachty — On Your Mind
Ne-Yo — Thinking What I’m Thinking
Chaka Khan & Snoop Dogg — Boogie’s in My Soul
