The Nike Air Diamond Turf 2 in its original San Francisco 49ers colorway returned on September 4, 2026 for $170, its first retro since 2012. Kicks On SI reports the shoe is available at Nike and Foot Locker in full-family sizing: $170 for adults, $122 big kid, $112 little kid and $102 baby and toddler. The style code is II7080-001.
The 1994 original
The Diamond Turf 2 launched in 1994 as Deion Sanders' second Nike signature shoe, and the black, white, metallic gold and varsity red makeup is the one he wore that season with the 49ers. It was the most consequential year of his NFL career: Sanders was voted the 1994 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, earned Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro honors, and intercepted a fourth-quarter pass in the end zone in Super Bowl XXIX as San Francisco beat the San Diego Chargers for his first championship.
This colorway has reached shelves three times: 1994, 2012 and 2026. Per Kicks On SI, the 2026 pair stays mostly true to the originals, with the main departure being a black interior lining.
The build
The upper pairs black nubuck with white leather, and metallic gold mesh sits in the side panels. Old-school Nike branding and Sanders' signature logos appear throughout, including on the heel tab. The midfoot strap that defined the silhouette carries over for stability, over a rubber outsole.
Nike did change what is underfoot: for this run the brand added more Air and a full-length foam midsole.

Where the Sanders line sits now
Sanders was a Nike athlete throughout his playing career. Per Kicks On SI, he and the brand split briefly after his playing career ended but have since reunited, bringing his signature shoes back to stores. The same outlet notes the Diamond Turf 2 kicked off its latest run earlier in 2026, before the Super Bowl, and Uristocrat covered the Diamond Turf '93 "Must Be The Money" from the same revival. His son Shedeur Sanders, now a quarterback with the Cleveland Browns, wears the line in the NFL.
The retro sits alongside a broader run of Nike heritage returns this year, including the Air Bakin OG "Varsity Red" at the same $170 and the Air Griffey Max 1 "Freshwater".
Resale
Kicks On SI notes the pair was not expected to sell out on release day, and that the average resale price on StockX was $140 — below the $170 retail.
