Nike keeps mining the Air Max 95 for texture, and the next pull is the most literal one yet. The Air Max 95 Big Bubble "Woven" arrives June 24 for $190 (style code IB3695-100), threading colorful textile ribbons through the silhouette's signature synthetic-suede ribbing instead of printing color on top of it.
The result is a multi-color checkerboard that runs the lateral and medial sidewalls over grey gradient suede, with neon hits on the tongue branding and an all-black midsole anchoring the loud upper. It is a craft flex on a shoe whose whole identity is layered paneling — Sergio Lozano's 1995 design was always about strata, and weaving the color into the structure rather than onto it is the rare AM95 update that changes how the shoe is built, not just how it looks.
Woven is an Air Max throwback, not a gimmick
Nike first ran a woven AM95 in 2019 with volt accents, and the technique traces back to the Air Footscape Woven line that made textile weaving a Nike signature. Pairing it with the Big Bubble tooling is the new part. Nike reintroduced the full-size visible Air unit in 2022 after years of shipping smaller-bubble retros to cut tooling costs — the same restored heel that carried the "Fresh Mint" women's release earlier this month. The Woven build puts the brand's most collector-favored cushioning under its most labor-intensive upper.
