Nike Book 2 'Haven and Hector' Releases May 25 for $150

Nike releases the Book 2 "Haven and Hector" (style code IX1832-001) on Monday, May 25 at Nike.com and select basketball retailers for $150. It is Devin Booker's third storytelling colorway on the Book 2 silhouette this season, after the "Maine" earth-tones and the "Off Noir" tonal black. The new makeup is named for his two cane corsos: Haven, the black-coated original who joined Booker's home in 2020, and Hector, Haven's son, added to the household in 2025.

The Design

The upper is built in a short fuzzy black fabric meant to read as the dogs' coats from across a room. The Swooshes are a goldish brown that matches the cane corsos' eye color in the official Nike imagery. A Gothic-style "Detroit" tag — Booker's home city — sits on the outer tongue. The inner side panel carries small printed portraits of both Haven and Hector, the kind of detail that does not appear in product shots but rewards anyone holding the shoe in hand. An icy blue outsole closes the package — the only deliberately off-palette element, included to keep the silhouette legible against gym floors.

The Booker Signature Arc

The Book 2 is now in its second year and Booker is in the rare bracket of NBA signature lines where storytelling colorways outsell core team makeups. The "Haven and Hector" is the fourth Book 2 to lean on a personal narrative — alongside Booker's car-collection "Vroom," the family-photo "Sunday Best," and the Kobe-influence "Wave" tribute. The release lands the same week as Ja Morant's Nike Ja 3 'Kool-Aid', making it back-to-back signature launches for Nike Basketball's two leading non-LeBron franchises five days apart — the kind of cadence that suggests Nike is treating storytelling drops as monthly inventory, not annual events.

Where to Buy

The shoe drops at Nike.com on May 25 with a $150 retail. Select Nike Basketball retailers — including Foot Locker, Hibbett, and Nike Basketball flagship doors — carry inventory. Kids' grade-school sizes are also available; family-pairs of the Book 2 are a recurring theme of this line.
