Hours after Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice against Uzbekistan to become the first man to find the net in six different World Cups, Nike answered with hardware. The CR7 Mercurial Superfly RGN "Gold" drops June 24 as a one-colorway tribute to two decades of tournament scoring.
The shoe
The entire upper is dipped in metallic gold, from the Flyknit collar down to the soleplate, with CR7 branding on the heel and a gold chrome finish on the plate itself. No competing graphics, no secondary colors — just a top-to-bottom commitment to the metal that comes with setting records. The Mercurial Superfly has been Ronaldo's competition boot since 2014; this edition treats it as a trophy case.

Ronaldo opened the scoring against Uzbekistan in the sixth minute of Portugal's 5-0 Group K win on June 23, then struck again before halftime. The brace gave him 10 career World Cup goals across six tournaments — 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, 2022, and 2026 — a 20-year span that no other player, male or female, has matched. At 41, he is the second-oldest man to score at a World Cup, behind only Roger Milla (42 in 1994).
