Nike KD 19 "Bright Ceramic" Drops May 29 for $155

The Nike KD 19 "Bright Ceramic" releases Friday, May 29, 2026 at $155, style code IH1117-800. Bright Ceramic/University Gold–Stadium Green. Available at Nike Basketball retailers and Nike.com.

The shoe

This is the launch colorway for Durant's 19th signature, and it sits a long way from a hoop palette. Bright Ceramic — Nike's name for an orange that reads closer to coral — runs across the upper, with University Gold paneling and Stadium Green accents pulling the colorway out of basketball-shoe territory and into something that would look right next to a pair of Lemaire trousers. The build leans on design cues from the early-2000s Hyperflight and Ultraflight era, with a streamlined upper and full-length Zoom Air Strobel underfoot — the same cushioning setup that has made the KD line one of the most quietly excellent performance series of the last decade.

Why this colorway matters

The KD 19 has been one of the best-performing basketball shoes on the market this season and one of the most underrated lifestyle picks in the catalog. "Bright Ceramic" leans into the lifestyle read — it's the pair you grab not to play in but to wear with everything for the next four months. Durant himself has been styling KDs off-court more aggressively since the Houston trade, and Nike's marketing is following him there. The 19 wears like a sneaker first, performance shoe second, and at $155 prices below most of the high-end Air Maxes.

The drop

SNKRS and Nike Basketball retailers carry pairs on May 29. Expect this to sit at retail in some sizes — KD's lifestyle play has never been resale-driven — which is exactly the case for grabbing the pair you actually want to wear instead of chasing whatever's trading hot. The full-length Zoom Strobel is reason enough.
